Hoax or Fact:
During the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, a story doing rounds online mentions a birther theory that claims Donald Trump was not born in America, but in Pakistan and his real name is Dawood Ibrahim Khan. The stories also show an alleged childhood photograph of Donald Trump in Pakistan before he was adopted by Trump family in America. No, the bizarre claims saying Donald Trump was born in Pakistan are not facts.
Origin of Story
In October 2016 Pakistani's Hindi channel Neo News ran a story alleging that Donald Trump was born in a Muslim family in North Waziristan area of Pakistan on 14 June 1946 and his real name is Dawood Ibrahim Khan. Further, it is said that after his parents died in a car accident, he was taken to London by a British-Indian army captain before being adopted by the Trump family and taken to America in 1955. A photograph of a blond boy in what appears to be a desert background was also shown as Trump in his childhood. Neo News mentioned that the story they reported about Donald Trump's birth in Pakistan has been doing rounds on social media sites. A video clip from the show went viral since then.
The picture of the blond boy, alleged to show Donald Trump in his childhood, has been doing rounds online since at least 2012, sometimes as an Afghan Boy. Trump's birth certificate and an exact copy of his birth registration show that he was in fact born in New York, as Donald John Trump. And then there are his childhood photos along with his family (see Image Gallery) that clearly suggest the blond boy shown in the photograph is not Donald Trump, and that he is raised in American culture.
So all this concludes to say that the stories saying Donald Trump was not born in American, but in Pakistan as Dawood Ibrahim Khan are simply hoaxes. Earlier, there were conspiracy theories whether Barack Obama was born in the US; there was also a photograph finding of his Kenyan birth certificate.
