Analysis:

A video claiming to show a Black Flying Horse to have been found in Mecca, Saudi Arabia during a lightning thunderstorm has been viral on the internet. Many Muslims expressed a belief that it is a miracle from Allah and the flying black horse is a sign of the end times. Some Christians too said that it is One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Let us analyze the authenticity of the video and the claims as such.

The amateur video of the said flying horse first originated on Facebook when a user Angel Louise Dela Cruz uploaded the same on 25 November 2014. The Facebook video received various comments from netizens, also questioning the authenticity of the video and the claims. It garnered thousands of shares on Facebook as it went viral online.

Flaws

Firstly, like some versions of stories suggest the flying black horse video was captured in Mecca is not a fact; it was actually recorded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Muslims believe Prophet Muhammad flew to heaven with a winged horse called Buraq, but in the present footage, the said flying horse does not have any wings to fly. Moreover, as you can see in the video its various screenshot images from the video, the shape of the horse seems to be stagnant throughout the video; the position of the legs and tail do not seem to be moving as such. Also note that the horse is flying at random, falling freely for a while after 0:07 seconds in the video, and at one visible point we even see it fly upside down (see the below picture).

The aforementioned flaws clearly suggest that the ‘flying horse’ shown in the video captured in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is not real. Most probably, the video simply shows a horse-shaped flying balloon that took off to float in the air, and could not be identified amidst lightning thunderstorm. A related article on NaijaGists.com suggests same, saying it is one of the golden balloon horses meant for kids that are currently sold across Saudi Arabia.
