Various messages doing rounds on social media sites claim Baba Ramdev Underwent a Successful Knee Surgery in Germany. They accuse that the Yog Guru suggests ‘Swadeshi’ treatment to all Indians, but he goes outside the country for his treatment. No, the claims are not true.

Baba Ramdev Knee Surgery Outside India?

Interestingly, similar messages circulated online in early 2018. The old versions said Baba Ramdev was flying to London for a knee operation. As a matter of fact, the popular Yoga guru Ramdev Baba suggests Yoga, Acupressure and Ayurvedic medicine for knee problems. Citing the claims in question, some users on social media criticized the yoga guru for seeking an Allopathic doctor for surgery outside India. Despite the viral messages, there are no credible reports supporting the claims about Baba Ramdev knee surgery back then and now as of this writing.

Responding to the allegations, in May 2018, Patanjali Yogpeeth clarified The Statesman website thestatesman.com that Ramdev Baba is fit and fine and engaged in a camp work in Haridwar. A spokesperson S.K Tijarawala also tweeted saying the circulating messages about Baba Ramdev knee surgery in London are baseless. As of April 2019, Baba Ramdev is in fact in India itself and appears fit. He has been speaking to media about ongoing Lok Sabha elections, supporting Narendra Modi. So, the messages claiming Baba Ramdev went to London/Germany for knee surgery are just rumors.
