A video shared widely online in various languages purports to show the French President, Emmanuel Macron dancing with his future, older wife Brigitte Trogneux 23 years ago. It is a fact that the French President married Brigitte Trogneux who is 24 years elder to him, but it is not true that the video shows both of them dancing together 23 years ago.
About the Video
The video of a young boy dancing with an elder woman does not show the French President Emmanuel Macron and his older wife Brigitte Trogneux. It in fact shows Tango dance Ballroom Performance of Jenna and Jake, on a song called Toca Toca by Fly Project that was released in year 2013. The wonderful dance, as can be seen in complete below, was actually a performance on U.S. TV series ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.

Brigitte Trogneux was a teacher of Literature at the elite school lycée Saint-Louis de Gonzague in Paris. Emmanuel Macron met his future wife Brigitte Trogneux when he was just 15 years old, while she was teaching him drama at high school. Brigitte even directed Macron’s first stage performance in a school play at the age of 15. By the time he was 17, Macron vowed to marry Brigitte and made her his wife in 2007 after Brigitte’s previous marriage ended in divorce. At the age of 39, Emmanuel Macron, the leader of political party En Marche, became the Youngest President of France. During his presidential campaign, Brigitte mentored, coached and advised Macron as his wife. Macron often refers to his older wife, as his intellectual soul-mate and confidante.
