A picture message in heavy circulation claims to show American Actor Keanu Reeves Saved Many Cats from Euthanasia. Allegedly, wherever Keanu finds a cat in danger he would take it to a designated refuge house in United States. It’s a fact the Matrix actor is known for his good demeanor and charity work, but the claim in question is not true.
Has Keanu Reeves Saved Many Cats?
The picture messages in question are doing rounds on social media and image sharing websites since at least mid-April 2019. The picture appears to show the actor Keanu Reeves feeding a group of cats.
Apart from being a respected actor, Keanu Reeves is known for his simplicity, charity and philanthropic work. Reeves set up a Cancer charity organization without attaching his name to it. He also supported PETA, the SickKids Foundation and Stand Up to Cancer among others. Nonetheless, the picture in question is not real and Photoshopped. The original photograph of the actor is in fact an old one showing Keanu Reeves sitting on a bench, eating sandwich and looking sad. On the other hand, the other picture of cats has an unidentified man feeding them. Like said in the messages, there are no credible reports suggesting Keanu Reeves saved many cats from Euthanasia.
