It actually gained popularity amidst media reports suggesting he is battling with Pancreatic Cancer. No, as of this writing, Joe Jackson – the father of Michael, Janet and their famous musical family is not dead.

Earlier certain media outlets reported Joe Jackson is battling with Terminal Cancer for some time. On 22nd June 2018, he was admitted into a hospital in Las Vegas. Doctors told members of the family that 89-year-old Joe is in the end stages of his cancer and has limited time to live. In earlier years, Joe Jackson faced many health scares.

Origin of Death Claim

On 23rd June 2018 The Weekly Observer website theweeklyobserver.com published an article titled “Joe Jackson died today from terminal cancer“. The article mentioned Joe Jackson lost the fight against cancer and cited couple of media reports about his illness. It also mentioned Zerman Jackson, one of Joe Jackson’s sons, confirmed about his father’s death on Twitter.

Joe Jackson Died?

Firstly, the aforementioned website is not related to The Weekly Observer newspaper. It is not a credible news outlet and published the article in Entertainment category. Joe Jackson does not have a son by name Zerman Jackson. He actually has a son named Jermaine Jackson, who as a matter of fact, mentioned on Twitter about his father’s ill-health. He did not tweet about death of his father. Moreover, there are no news reports saying Joe Jackson died. So as of this writing, the father of Michael Jackson, Joe Jackson is alive and battling with terminal cancer in hospital. So, the claim that Joe Jackson Died is a hoax.
