Other Versions
A rare photo of the two of President Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe together…
Analysis:
The photograph circulating online since many years claims to show what appears like a secret, shutter picture of an intimate moment between former U.S. President John F. Kennedy and actress Marilyn Monroe. There were always lot of speculations about the nature of relationship between these two celebrities, but the photograph shown is not real.
The photograph claiming to show Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy through Shutters was in fact the work of Alison Jackson, an English artist known for her lookalike photographs of celebrities. Some of her other work includes G.W Bush playing with Rubik cube in his office chair, the Queen of England reading on the toilet seat and Paris Hilton bribing a fellow jail inmate. The celebrities shown in those photographs are not real, they are look-alikes.

This picture in question was created by Alison Jackson back in 2001, and it was titled ‘Marilyn and Kennedy through Shutters.’ The photograph is a hoax; the people shown are look-alikes of Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy. Alison’s work intends to highlight the psychological relationship between what we see and what we imagine – while seeing is believing, the truth is another story entirely. The artist also relates to the kind of influence the celebrities and religion have in people’s lives. Rightly so, because many people are more interested in what’s happening in their favorite celebrities’ lives, than what’s going on in their own family. Moreover, some people use hoaxes like this and encourage unfair hate.
