Fact Check:

A picture shared widely on Image sharing websites, social media and also in YouTube videos allegedly shows the Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan without makeup and wig – as a balding old man with wrinkled and greying locks. The ‘shocking’ picture showing Shah Rukh Khan as balding old man went viral on WhatsApp and Facebook. with stories saying the photo was taken when he underwent a knee surgery at the Breach Candy hospital, Mumbai. Although the claims appear real from the picture, they are not facts.

Seen in the picture is not the real look of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, it is not a photoshop creation either. The photograph actually shows the actor with a wig and make up. It was taken in makeup room while Shah Rukh Khan was preparing for an old advertisement shoot for DishTV, wherein the actor donned the role of a 75 year old grandfather. In the close up view of the first picture above, you can see the patch of makeup wig appearing just beside the actor’s right ear. Rest of the pictures show couple of other shots from the scenes. They also seem to show the makeup man in the background. Shah Rukh Khan is not bald, he is fit and healthy. The picture stories claiming otherwise are therefore hoaxes.
