Google Maps discovers a murder scene.

Analysis:
The message claims to show a probable murder scene caught on Google Maps, asking people to search for the coordinates 52.376552,5.198303 and find outvideo for themselves. Although it is a fact that the Google Map search shows such a scene, it is NOT a murder. The claims are hoax.

This story was first popularized in April 2013, when a Reddit user posted the link to Google Map with a title ‘A murder near my house on Google Maps‘. This created lot of speculation that it could possibly be a murder committed in broad day light. The scene is from the Queen Beatrix Park, located across the water from Amsterdam, at Almere Stad, in the city of Almere, Netherlands. The satellite image appeared to show a bloody crime that was just committed – the trail of blood leading down a jetty, as if the claimed dead body (perhaps covered in plastic) was dragged over there. Even complete zoom-in of the picture on Google Maps was not clear to demonstrate facts. This story became so popular that the local police were alerted to investigate into it.
However, The Sun caught the culprit behind this Google Earth ‘murder scene’ — a Dutch, golden retriever, fur dog called Rama. Yes, funny as it may sound, but this viral ‘crime scene’ was in fact water trails created over the wooden jetty by the 5 year old dog Rama after swimming in the waters. The two people standing near the wet dog that was lying after shaking off the water, are 52 year old Jacquelina Koenen, the owner of the dog, and her pal. Jacquelina explained about the incident to The Sun saying:
“When I saw the picture I realised, ‘It’s my dog’. He loves the water. He jumps off the end of the jetty, swims round to the bridge and runs down to the edge again. It’s hilarious that everyone thought it was murder. But it’s great he’s now world famous.”
The local police also confirmed that it wasn’t a murder, but a dog. After this story was debunked, fellow users on Reddit explained the picture scene clearly, which are shown in the images below. You can find the pictures of the fur dog and its owner from the reference section below.

Too much of speculation can mislead us sometimes!
