The Actual Incident
The incident in the video is in fact an old one, which took place in early March 2012 in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The man with AK-47 is not a terrorist, but Tariq Ahmed – a Jawan of Indian Territorial Army (TA) working with Rashtriya Rifles (RR). In contrast to the ‘terrorist’ claims, the incident is actually a violent aftermath of his marital discord.

Tariq Ahmed suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship. On the fateful day he came back home with his service rifle. He went on rampage, also scaring neighborhood people who tried to pacify him. He fired indiscriminately, killing two women, including the purported lover’s mother and injuring two others. Allegedly, he then set his own house on fire and went on to rooftop scaring neighbors to bring back his wife and her alleged lover; wanting to kill them as well. Police and his colleagues rushed to the scene and overpowered him smartly, snatching the AK-47 gun from him. After all the ruckus, Police arrested Tariq Ahmed and booked him for murder. Shown below is a news report of the incident.
