Not Muslims Violence in Birmingham During Ramadan
Yes, the video in question actually shows a Football related Vandalism incident that occurred in Birsstrasse area of Basel City, Switzerland. It is not Muslim violence in Birmingham, UK during Ramadan. The incident happened on 19th of May 2018, late night after the Super League match between Basel and Luzern. A group of Zurich hooligans looked for a confrontation with Basler Ultras in the middle of a residential area in Basel. As shown in the video below, the Football vandalism started with confrontation of two groups – one in white and the other in black.
Several hooligans were injured in the incident, and they also attacked some uninvolved motorists. Local media in Switzerland reported the football vandalism incident and suggested the thugs from Zurich were also supported by some German people. The Canton Police in Basel came up with a large contingent and controlled the situation; also arresting few people. So, the various stories saying the video shows Muslims violence in Birmingham during Ramadan are hoaxes.
Kashmiris Attacking Tourists?
The video also circulated in India with stories suggesting it shows Kashmiris attacking Tourists during Holiday season. It warned people not to go to Kashmir saying the youth is pelting stones at tourist guides. So again, that claim is a hoax as well.
