Worms in Lipton Lemon Green tea!!!
Please be aware, must check your teabags & please do share.
A video doing rounds on social media websites comes to show and warn users that Lipton’s Lemon Flavor Green Tea bags contain Live Worms. The accompanying stories also ask people to share the video and the information about the same. The claims, nonetheless, are not facts.
Source of Story
On 20 February 2016, a woman from Pakistan, Ms Ismat Raza posted a video on Facebook alleging to show that she was disgusted to find tiny, living worms inside each and every tea bag of Lipton’s lemon flavor green tea, after she checked several boxes. The video garnered thousands of shares on Facebook. Couple of days later, the same video appeared on YouTube as well and received thousands of views.
Although the tiny matter inside the tea bags shown in the video does appear like worms by color and size, a close look will reveal that not one of them is moving, like any living worms would generally do. Soon after the claims became popular online, on their Company Facebook page Lipton US dismissed the allegations that its green tea bags contain ‘live worms’ and explained they are nothing but small lemon flavor pieces that will easily dissolve in hot water. They demonstrated the same in a video:
So in short, the story claiming to show tiny, live worms inside tea bags of Lipton Lemon Green Tea is a hoax; they are simply small lemon flavor pieces mistaken for worms. Viewers need not share such rumors.
