Accompanying Pictures Unrelated and Old

The picture of a skinned dead dog hanging on a rope is doing rounds online since at least 2015. It appears online with similar allegations of dog meat sale in other places. Looks like, it originates from an article on Fars News Agency website farsnews.com from Iran. The other picture of a group of skinned dogs hanging in a slaughter house dates back to 2013 at least. It is perhaps from China. Lastly, the picture of live dogs is from Thailand in August 2011. The Thai Police rescued more than 1000 dogs, destined for Vietnamese slaughterhouses.

Although the claims are not entirely true, the rotten meat in some hotels and use of carcass meat from dead animals is a concern. So, it’s wise non-vegetarians choose carefully where they are eating, what they are eating and where it is coming from.
