How It Started

In Feb 2013, the child’s father Joseph Ashby uploaded footage of his kid’s most spectacular basketball shots to YouTube. The video was viewed over 14 million times as of this writing, which is how the two year old kid’s basketball talent came into limelight. Again, the video was compiled over a period of months when Titus was between 18 and 24 months old. Shown in the video, perhaps his greatest feat is Titus Ashby netting a basket from the top of a seven-storey building.

Celebrity Attention

For his incredible basketball skills, the Spanish TV show, “El Hormiguero” introduced the tiny talent, after which the two year old basketball toddler became a viral sensation. American actors Bradley Cooper and Channing Tatum appeared on the show and even played a game with the tiny basketball wonder. Surprisingly, Titus won against both of them, with a score of 14-5 over Channing and 14-8 over Bradley. The second and third videos down below show their fun game in the Spanish show.

After the game, Channing shared a picture from the show on Instagram saying the kid may only be 2, but he has got game, and that he had fun playing a little b-ball with Titus on the show. After many TV appearances like on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, for his incredible basketball skills, the two year old kid acquired the nickname ‘Trick Shot Titus’.

Titus Ashby is a good example to show practice makes you perfect, because the toddler has been getting better ever since he was introduced to the game!
