Fact Check:

As you can read above, the various stories doing rounds online claim that a Secret 5000 year old Ancient Indian Vimana (mythological flying machine described in ancient Sanskrit texts of Indian epic Mahabharata) was Discovered in a Cave of Afghanistan. Some versions say 8 US Soldiers have Disappeared mysteriously in an attempt to remove the Flying Machine protected by a ‘Time Well’. Other versions of the story also claim that the ancient Vimana finding attracted the attention of the World leaders, the United States President Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkoz. There’s also a video doing rounds online saying 8 US Marines were secretly sent to a lost cave in Eastern Afghanistan to find the ancient flying machine called Vimana from India, and that they disappeared mysteriously; the recording of their mission allegedly found at the entrance/centre of the cave. Although these stories have been popular, with various explanations of Vimana and videos alleging to show same, the discovery of Ancient Mahabharat Period Vimana in Caves of Afghanistan is not a fact.

Origin of Story & Actual Facts

Back in December 2010, What Does It Mean website WhatDoesItMean.com published a ‘groundbreaking’ leaked report titled “World Leaders Flock To Afghanistan After Mysterious ‘Time Well’ Discovered” that suggested the discovery of a Vimana described in the ancient accounts in the Sanskrit Indian epic, The Mahabharata. It’s said that the “Vimana” was hidden inside a Cave in Afghanistan for about 5,000 years and has already caused the sudden “disappearance” of at least 8 American Soldiers trying to remove it from the cave. It’s also said that the Vimana is encased and protected by a “Time Well,” which appears similar to an electromagnetic radiation-gravity field first postulated by Albert Einstein as the Unified Field Theory and long rumored to be behind the infamous American World War II experiment in teleportation called the Philadelphia Experiment of 1943. The article goes on to mention the most intriguing part of the report is the finding of ancient writings along with the Vimana inside the cave, which say that the “rightful owner” of the Vimana is Zoroaster (the prophet of Ancient Iran, who found the ancient religion Zoroastrianism).

In the aforementioned article on What Does It Mean website, some genuine news sources are cited that report the World leaders visiting Afghanistan, but the visits were mostly for political reasons. Back in 2010 there was no credible news report about any such discovery of ancient Vimana in caves of Afghanistan. There is no credible information about the author of the article, Sorcha Faal, and more importantly, the website is known to publish conspiracy-based hoax stories like Israeli Intelligence captured the video of Bill Clinton Raping a 13-year Old Girl and that Russia Put Black Lives Matter on Official ‘Terror List’.

About the Video

The video allegedly showing the mysterious disappearance of 8 US soldiers inside the Afghanistan cave where the Secret 5000 year old Flying Machine was discovered originated from YouTube channel of SECTION 51 in December 2014. However, the SECTION 51 YouTube channel has been posting many false UFO stories like a UFO bomb-attacking and destroying a Taliban camp in Afghanistan and a huge UFO spotted hovering over Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh state of India. Moreover, in their channel description, SECTION 51 have a Disclaimer saying their videos are for Entertainment purposes only, and they cannot authenticate all of them. Most probably, the video is made up on the old hoax story, the Sorcha Faal report of discovery of ancient Vimana in Afghanistan cave.

So in short, the stories that an ancient Indian Vimana described in the epic Mahabharata was discovered inside a cave of Afghanistan are hoaxes that originated from an uncredible conspiracy-based website, and the videos alleging to show the same are fabrications based on the false story.
