A story in heavy circulation online purports to present two shocking Baba Vanga Predictions 2018. The alleged predictions of Bulgarian mystic Vangelia Gushterova (better known as Baba Vanga, and dubbed as modern ‘Nostradamus from the Balkans’) seem to change the world in 2018. They are China taking over United States as the world’s next ‘Super Power’ in terms of economy, and the discovery of a ‘new form of energy’ on Venus. So, let us analyze if the said major predictions of Baba Vanga for 2018 are really true.
Baba Vanga Predictions 2018
Firstly, over the past few years conspiracy theorists have shared online many random predictions attributed to Baba Vanga. It is even difficult to determine the source of those predictions. The Bulgarian woman ‘Prophet’ is blind, not much literate, and died in 1996 at the age of 85. Before she died, she left predictions up to the 51st Century – where she believes the world will end. Believers and followers of Baba Vanga say she could predict global events and natural disasters long before they actually happened. Notably, there are no written records of her prophecies. People however come up with various versions, interpretations and translations of her predictions.
Baba Vanga Disproved Predictions
The mystic Baba Vanga is often said to have ‘predicted’ 9/11, Brexit and the rise of ISIS, but at least on couple of occasions, her predictions were disproved. She predicted invasion by ‘Muslim extremists’ would lead to demise of European Continent by the end of 2016, which did not happen. Another disproven prediction attributed to Baba Vanga is that the 44th US president (Barack Obama) shall be the country’s last commander-in-chief.
It is a fact that China’s economy is growing steadily since last few years. As per a related article on The Sun website thesun.co.uk, China made up to 15.6% of world’s economy in 2015. On the other hand, United States contributed 16.7%, but is expected to fall to 14.9% in 2025, according to Forbes. Regarding the other claim, there are no space programs planning to visit planet Venus in 2018. So, both the Baba Vanga predictions 2018 are unlikely to happen.
Interestingly, we have come across a list of Baba Vanga predictions between 2010 – 5079 that appeared online since at least 2010. The list has a prediction for 2018 that translates to say – “New China becomes a world power. Developing countries in turn operated from exploiters“. On the other hand, year 2028 (not 2018) has the prediction – “Creating a new energy source (probably a controlled thermonuclear reaction). Hunger is gradually being overcome. Launched a manned spacecraft to Venus“. So, the prediction of two major events in 2018 appears like a fabrication or edit of the past list of ‘prophecies’.
