Psychic surgery is a spiritual and magical healing process that involves creation of an incision using only the bare hands, followed by the removal of diseased pathological matter from the body, and then the spontaneous healing of the incision.

As shown in the video below, Psychic Surgery is a pseudoscientific procedure which is claimed to remove foreign or diseased parts from the body by the simple use of hands; also healing the body instantly. Although this procedure has been in use since many years, especially in countries like Brazil and Philippines, the Psychic Surgery is a hoax – it is a medical fraud.
The Psychic Surgery
The “Psychic surgeons” claim to cure people with their spiritual movements and also put forth the beliefs that the dead can communicate with the living. During the ‘magical surgery’ process, they often appear to go into a trance state, saying that they allow the God, dead doctors or other spirits to flow through them and help in the healing process of the patient. With those blood flowing out of the patient bodies, and the surgeons removing pathological matter from the bodies, it all looks so real that the audience and viewers of these recorded videos are forced to believe that the healing through ‘Psychic surgery’ is real.
Actual Facts
Although the psychic surgery seems to be amazing and unbelievable, the facts show otherwise. James Randi, a magician and skeptic explained in one his 1987 books called ‘The Faith Healers‘ that this process of Psychic surgery and its healing is in fact cheating. He explained that the Psychic surgery is just an illusion which is performed by secretly introducing the blood and other pathological matter (from animals) onto the surface of the patient’s body by using ‘sleight of hand‘. In the video below, Randi shows how Psychic surgery is a fake illusion to cheat people. Even the American Cancer Society concluded that the practitioners of psychic surgery use sleight of hand and animal body parts during their procedures and convince the patients that what ails them has been snatched away spiritually. Medical tests also confirmed that the spiritual psychic healers in fact used animal blood and their flesh parts like chicken livers and hearts.
Another video below clearly demonstrates how this ‘Psychic Surgery’ is faked. The ‘healers’ use tricks to create an illusion of surgery and deceive the patients – all this for money gains in various forms. What perhaps kept this medical fraud going on for years is the fact that the healers, after the psychic surgery, suggest the patients with strong medical advises that usually work most of the time. And those believers get into a false impression that it is the psychic surgery that worked for them.
Therefore, the Psychic surgery is a hoax, where those ‘magical surgeons’, in the name of spiritual healers, exploit the psychological beliefs of the people in spirit and God. These medical procedures should be avoided, also because it can endanger your life.
