Analysis:

A video that went viral online in August 2016 claims to show a strange, huge humanoid creature filmed in a Portuguese desert. The brief footage shows the beast slightly bent forward, walking like a gorilla for a few seconds before it disappears behind a bush. As the video was also mentioned in some news outlets, the story became popular, and some netizens even came up with speculations that the strange creature in the video could be a Chupacabra, a Bigfoot or Yeti.

Origin of Video and Flaws

The video seems to have first appeared in YouTube channel of Alien Sightings, published on 13 June 2016 in Entertainment category. The video came with the title “Real Alien Sighting | The Creepiest Alien Creature Caught on Tape From Navajo Nation” and the sighting was dated back to October 2007. Alien Sightings channel bears the below description and has been publishing many UFO, Alien and Ghost videos mostly in Entertainment category:

Firstly, there are no credible first hand reports of the strange creature sighting either in any Portuguese desert or in Navajo Nation. Like in many such videos of paranormal sightings, the pixel quality is poor, and the footage starts in the middle, focusing on the creature, and does not show a complete recording. The huge Bigfoot like creature is seen walking inside a large bush and never reappears. We do not see any right hand natural movement in the creature, and more significantly, the shadow patterns of the creature and other objects seen in the video are not in sync. Moreover, the skin color of the creature blends well with the background surroundings.

All the aforementioned flaws suggest that what is shown in the video is not real; the strange, huge creature is possibly a creation of animation that is added to the desert footage. So the claims that a strange alien creature was filmed in a Portuguese Desert or that a Creepy Alien Creature was caught on Tape in Navajo Nation are most certainly hoaxes.
