Analysis:

Various stories doing rounds online since few years claim to show that Wiki Leaks published the first list of Indian black money holders in Swiss Bank, with names of well-known political and business personalities allegedly having thousands of Crores. No, the stories mentioned above are not facts.

In 2011 Wiki Leaks founder Julian Assange declared that the black money in Swiss banks mainly comes from India. At the time in India Lokpal was pressing the Government to take action against the black money residing in Swiss bank. Between these the stories that Wiki Leaks published the first list of Indian black money holders in Swiss bank gained publicity on internet space. However, there are no credible reports of the alleged official list(s) of Indian black money holders with respective amounts. In fact in August 2011 pointing to one such popular image, on their official Facebook page Wiki Leaks denied the disclosure of Indian black money holders in Swiss bank, calling it a fake image. So the aforementioned messages saying and showing Wiki Leaks released the 1st list of Indian black money holders in Swiss bank are rumors and hoaxes.
