Golden Snake is only found in thick dense Amazon forest. Only less than 10 is estimated to be alive. It’s saliva, venom and skin contains 24 carrot pure Gold. One strike from a Golden snake could kill you within 5 minutes. Many have disapeared, after setting into the forest in search of this snake.
Analysis:
The message claims to show a beautiful picture of an unbelievable Golden color Snake, that it is only found in the dense forests of Amazon, and the saliva, venom and skin of this highly poisonous snake contains 24 ‘carrot’ (not carat) pure Gold. Although the picture appears real, it is a hoax creation, and so is the story attached to it.
The golden color snake picture shown in the message is the result of an impressive photo editing, and actually an entry in a photo effects contest of worth1000.com, in a section called “Alternate Materials: Gold, Adding the Midas touch“. This entry was titled as ‘Snake gold‘, and backed 2nd place in the contest among other entries. In the contest website shown in the reference section below, you can also see the source of the picture clearly – a Black King Snake, not any Golden color one. Refer to the ‘golden snake’ pictures in the image section below. Moreover, these King snakes are not poisonous either. They wrap around their preys like turtle eggs, birds and small mammals, squeezing them to death.
Like it happens often, some prankster could have added this mysterious (or mythical) story to the edited picture of snake and started circulating it. The picture and the story attached to it are hoax, so it need not be shared.
