The popular video circulating online claims to show an Alien Contact and UFO Sighting at a local Restaurant in Joyuda, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. A local tourist allegedly captured the video over a ship inside the restaurant. It shows people running in terror after the major UFO sighting. Although popular, the claims in the video are not facts.

Not Real

The video in question showing Extraterrestrial contact in Puerto Rico became very popular. Entertainment Facebook page La Otra Dimensión (translating to ‘The Other Dimension’) shared the video in April 2016. However, our study shows what appears in the video is not real. It is in fact a promotional video Amaury Rivera Toro presented for his free book describing his alleged alien contact experience. Amaury Rivera Toro said Aliens abducted him in Puerto Rico on 4th May 1988. He said he met two very small strange beings, dressed in black. One of them supposedly announced he was from another, distant planet, and spoke normally through mouth, not telepathy.

Furthermore, Amaury Rivera said the alien showed him incredible ‘projections’ that terrify humans, adding the Aliens returned him to earth later on. He showed some pictures of aircrafts and UFOs he supposedly captured after he returned back from the ‘close encounter of the third kind’ (see pictures below). At the end of the original video below, you can see disclosure – the alien contact and UFO sighting in Puerto Rico restaurant is not real. So, the alien appearances in the video are clear CGI (Computer-generated imagery). Gilberto Aguilar did the 3D graphics and animation to promote Amaury Rivera Toro’s book describing his alleged experience of alien contact. The incident was in fact shot at Asia Italy Cuisine Restaurant in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
