The incredibly popular Nicholas Sparks film The Notebook from 2004 is returning with a sequel tentatively entitled The Notebook 2 and will be filmed in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Nick Cassavetes is returning as director and Nicholas Sparks has a finished screenplay in hand as filming is set to begin this fall. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are returning as their characters Noah and Allie.
Various stories in circulation online suggest that a sequel to the popular 2004 romantic drama movie ‘The Notebook’ is tentatively titled ‘The Notebook 2’ and is set to be filmed in various locations across the United States. Some people who believed in the story went on to share the ‘news’ on their social media profiles like Facebook and Twitter, which is how it became popular. The claims however are not facts.
The stories mentioned above stated that The Notebook movie from 2004 is returning with a spirited sequel and its filming has been started in various US locations like Springfield, Jacksonville, Tucson and Des Moines. A popular version of the story appeared on the McKenzie Post website mckenziepost.com in Feb 2016 ending, which as mentioned on their contact page, is a fantasy news website publishing satirical content. In March 2016 similar copies of the article were found in other fake news websites like HeadlineBrief.com and alynews.com, all of which featured the story as “local news”.
As of this writing, ‘The Notebook 2’ sequel movie is not in the making in any US city; no such official announcement has been made.
