Analysis:
11 mysterious feet in running shoes have appeared on shores of beaches since 2007. Eight of these floating feet appeared to have washed up around Vancouver, Canada and three feet have come ashore in Washington since 2007. Experts explain that the running shoes of today are more buoyant and can float on water easily. When human feet disarticulate through marine scavenging or decomposition, the shoes will bring the foot onto the surface of water and washes ashore to the shoreline. Four of the eleven feet that have been found on shore have been linked to three people. Rest of them remain unidentified.
Coming to the latest incident, two feet washed ashore on Oak Beach in two different places within an hour. The feet looked suspicious and could mostly be some kind of raw meat. The latest floating feet in shoes are likely to be hoaxes, and believed to be a part of an annual prank night conducted by students in Oak Bay, near Victoria.
