These messages that come with a group of pictures claim to show that Human lean meat is being sold all around China and Taiwan, especially in Tiongkok city. It is also said that human body parts are sold just like poultry, as in thighs, legs, breasts or wings, and that the costliest meat is that of females. This story of Cannibalism is published in several websites and many people thought it could be a fact, but thankfully, that’s not the case.

The first thing that can be noted in the message is the bad grammar usage. Secondly, the set of pictures do not show what is said as sale of human meat. The first picture shows the girlfriend of a Mexican drug lord who was murdered by his team. The picture is often used in unrelated stories as described in this article. The second and third pictures are not real, they are taken from video game and movie series of Resident Evil, depicting human meat market (take a close look at the pictures in Image Gallery). To promote Resident Evil 6, a Wesker & Son Resident Evil Human Butchery shop was also opened in East London by Capcom, but again, it was not real human meat. The fourth picture simply shows cooks at a restaurant chopping pork meat in Mexico City, and the fifth picture is an art creation of Kittiwat Unarrom, who uses normal bread ingredients and later paints each piece with edible coloring stuff to make them look like real human body parts. The story also comes with other pictures showing a man eating human (baby) body parts, which again, is simply the ‘performance’ of a Chinese artist Zhu Yu that is explained in this article.

So as detailed above, the set of pictures do not show that human meat is being sold all over China and Taiwan, and for the lack of any such credible reports, the story is a hoax!
