A picture story in circulation online claims to show a 6-foot Shark Found Washed Up Ohio River Boat Ramp. Allegedly, a local boater found the Shark in the Ohio river and there’s full story-telecast coming up on it. The picture is an old one, it does indeed show a Shark, but the claim that it is from Ohio river boat ramp is a hoax.
Not Shark Found Washed Up Ohio River Boat Ramp
The picture actually shows the aftermath of severe Tropical Cyclone Marcia in February 2015 causing heavy rains and flooding in Australia. Reportedly, Heavy rains stirred up Bull Sharks in Gold Coast canals. In fact, the photograph shows one such Bull Shark spotted at Broadbeach Waters. Eupen Hjalmby took the strange photograph of washed up Bull Shark and Gold Coast Bulletin newspaper shared it on Twitter.

Coming to the story in question, it actually originated from an entertainment website NSFNews.com, which generates user submitted prank stories. The website also carries the below disclaimer-about information at the bottom of their page:

Therefore, the claim that the picture shows a Shark found washed up Ohio River boat ramp is a hoax. It actually shows a Bull Shark washed up from a Gold Coast canal in Australia during Cyclone Marcia back in February 2015.
