Analysis:
Couple of pictures circulating online with various stories attached to them say that a strange, new, scary human-like creature was found in the forest of Nandurbar district in Maharashtra state of India. Some stories even went on to call it an alien from outer space. The stories are not facts.
The bizarre pictures supposedly of a strange creature were shared heavily online through social networking and photo sharing websites. For example, the story posted by Facebook page ‘Digida 106.5 FM‘ in May 2015 was shared many thousands of times.

Art Pictures
Yes, the pictures are no strange creature found in any forest or any alien from outer space, they are simply mythical art creations of famous Australian contemporary artist Patricia Piccinini. There’s another popular sculpture made by her (below picture) that in the past was shared as a weird creature depicting human-like Dog. Patricia specializes in creating hybrid (with human and animal traits), imaginary creatures that reflect her interest in biotechnologies and evoke tenderness & concern about the implications of genetic engineering and biotechnology. For her loveable art creations that are highly life-like, Patricia Piccinini was honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Melbourne Art Foundation in 2014. The current pictures depict themes of motherhood, and perhaps also the implications of genetic engineering and biotechnology.
