This is a video that went viral lately. It claims to have spotted a UFO hovering over a Canadian Baseball game in Vancouver on 3 September 2013. Not really!

The spectators at a minor league baseball game in Canada witnessed an unexpected unidentified flying object (UFO) that was spotted hovering above the Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver. The UFO appeared to have bright lights, like that of a typical flying saucer (see picture in the image section below). On 5 September, the video was also posted on YouTube and gained millions of viewers soon. As it always happens, speculations about UFOs and Aliens gained momentum again. However, the uploader of the video, Jason Fuller does not have any information in his YouTube channel, which again does not have any other video apart from this one.

Within few days, it was disclosed that the UFO video was basically a hoax, not from any individual or a group, but from a Planetarium in Canada. The UFO spotted over the baseball game in Canada was actually a Drone deployed by the H.R. MacMillan Space Center Planetarium, as a part of an elaborate hoax to draw people into the planetarium. The Space Centre built a new planetarium in the shape of a drone recently, so in order to market it, they collaborated with a local advertising agency to stage this marketing stunt. In fact it was the marketing agency that shared the UFO videos in question.

Drones are unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVS) controlled by ‘pilots’ from the ground, and sometimes, they are even autonomously pre-programmed with a certain mission. It is interesting to note that DIY or do-it-yourself drone kits are easily available these days and anyone can come up with these so called ‘UFO’ claims – imitating the science fiction movies and novels. So whenever you see a UFO video like this, be skeptical about it!
