Story:

Every Indian Must Know This Fact!
Attached is a photo from a Swiss Magazine Schweizer Illustriertein (November 1991) – it shows the top holders of Swiss bank accounts at the time.
Rajiv Gandhi appears in the august company of other dictators like Saddam Hussein, Suharto of Indonesia, etc.
The text below Rajiv’s photo reads: Rajiv Gandhi, Indian, Holds 2.5 billion Swiss …Francs (equal to 13,200 Crores in 1991).
Till date, the Congress party has never refuted / spoken about these allegations. These are our great leaders on whose birth & death anniversaries the government uses the tax payer’s money to lavishly advertise their so-called ‘achievements’ in all national newspapers! and name Airports, Highways etc built by our money on their names !

Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s Efforts

When an Indian professor and politician, Dr. Subramanian Swamy contacted the magazine questioning the authenticity of these pictures and messages, he got a reply from the Schweizer Illustriertein magazine on 5 April 2001, confirming the same. You can see it on janataparty.org. In April 2011, when Dr. Subramanian Swamy wrote an application to PM of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh to sanction to prosecute Ms. Sonia Gandhi, he mentioned about this illegal account of Rajiv Gandhi in Swiss bank and pointed that neither Sonia Ganhi nor her son protested or sued the Schweizer Illustriertein magazine, then or later. Also, in that application, he claimed that he has credible documentation to prove that Ms. Sonia Gandhi is the legatee of that illegal bank account and the tuition fees of foreign studies of Rahul Gandhi were paid from this account.

When there was no response from the PM, on 20 June 2011, Dr. Subramanian Swamy wrote another letter to PM expressing his displeasure over the procrastination of action. In the letter, he quoted saying:

“I am prepared to assist your Government to get the necessary documents from the Swiss authorities if you are serious about the matter of bringing back such black money deposited abroad. The procrastination in the Lichtenstein Bank matter however is not inspiring.”

In the reference section below, you can find the press release of Dr. Subramanian Swamy in 2011, and a copy of his application on scribd.com. However, the PM, Man Mohan Singh rejected and labelled his application as “premature”.
