Rudraksh with Shankh and Trishul Not Real

There are many images and videos seeming to show divine Rudraksh with Shankh and Trishul formations. In fact, they are on sale both on internet space and at some temple locations in India and elsewhere. The truth of the matter is, such Rudraksh with Shankh and Trishul are fakes. They are carvings made over fake beads. Some are even made from castings using materials like wood, plastic or clay.

Users must be aware, scammers sell these ‘rare and divine’ Rudrakshas for hefty prices. Some suppliers sell fake 1 Mukhi (face/segment) Rudrakshas which have Serpent, Trishul, Lingam etc. carved on them. We have also seen similar cases of fake Rudraksh with Trishul, Shivling and Vasuki (snake). For reasons related, it is better to buy Rudrakshas from a genuine supplier who is accountable to the people.

For your information, good quality Rudrakshas are heavy, bright, lustrous and in good shape – capable of emitting a positive vibration. The best way to find out authenticity of one, two or more mukhi Rudraksh is taking an X-ray to investigate its internal structure. People can carve lines outside and change the appearance of a Rudraksh, but they cannot change its internal structure. Genuine Rudraksh will have the same number of compartments as that of the number of lines on it.
