Analysis:
These messages in several variants come as Instagram photo from one of your Facebook friends, tagging you on your timeline. They claim to show statistics of Facebook profile viewers that your friend got to see and say that you can also check your stalkers by simply clicking the link that comes with the messages. The messages are not fact. They are misleading scams.

When the link whose destination URL is hidden is clicked, it takes the user to a referral website as shown in the images. The site has a message claiming that many people have already tracked their Facebook profile stalkers and drives you to check yours’. The first step of the process asks you to click an hidden link that will open a pop up of original Instagram app. The second step asks you to go to the Instagram app, and the final step asks you to copy the URL from the browser and paste it in step three of their site. Once done, a fake warning message comes up saying that you need to verify your account in order to use Facebook profile viewer, and for that you will be forced to undertake surveys as shown in the images. This way the scammers are using the official Instagram Facebook app to get their access token in the form of copied URL, and then will redirect you to surveys and other affiliate offers with misleading messages. Couple of such scam links are getstalkersph.appspot.com and newproviewerdys.blogspot.in

Similar scam messages in the name of ProfileSpy 2.0 have also been circulating, claiming to show your top stalkers. They have a link in the comment section claiming to do the same, but will mislead you to surveys and other offers. Beware of them!

If you have already used such fake Facebook stalker and profile spy apps, you can delete them by going to your Facebook Account Settings, then Applications, and remove the app along with all its activity.

There have been many such Facebook applications and websites claiming to show profile viewers and stalkers, but none of them can do it; any such claim is either a scam, virus attack or an attempt to steal your Facebook password. Tracking profile visitors is against Facebook privacy rules, so even if any such stalking application comes up, it will be removed by Facebook. So be careful while using unknown apps or clicking hidden links.
Hoax or Fact:
Hoax, and a scam.
