In July and August 2016 internet, especially Facebook has been filled with reports about Jaden Smith (the Son of Hollywood actor Will Smith) to have Died after committing Suicide. Because of the popularity of The Karate Kid star, his alleged death stories soon went viral online. However, there are no facts associated with the death/suicide reports of Jaden Smith.

The claim in question originated from various news-like posts appearing on Facebook that claimed to show a video featuring Jaden Smith saying goodbye to his father, Will Smith, before committing suicide by hanging. But the fact being; they are all simply click bait scam stories meant to mislead Facebook users so as to generate traffic/revenue for the scammers. The users who got carried away with the death claim of Jaden Smith and went on to click the link to view his non-existent video were asked to give access to their Facebook account, before redirecting to untrusted apps and third party websites.
