Analysis:
These emails and mobile text messages have been circulating in several variants, claiming that the recipient owns a large amount of money as a Contract inheritance payment and needs to send his personal information so that they can prepare his Visa ATM Card or Bank transfer slip to transfer the money. This is not a fact, these are just emails scams.
Scam emails like these often lure people with big money, using reputable names of persons and banks. Scammers mislead people with fake logos of established companies and create convincing scenarios like the one mentioned above. The email cleverly warns the recipient not to communicate with any other person (s) or office (s) in order to avoid any hitches in receiving the payment. There is no big money won by anyone, the only purpose of these emails is to grab the personal details, use them for unfair means, initiate a dialog with the person and then trick him to gain financial benefits.
Scam emails these days reach your inbox in the form of attached documents in order to surpass the email spam filters. The best way to deal with such fraud emails is to delete them, and not communicate or share any of your personal information.
