Actual Facts
A close look at the manner in which the unborn baby is shown clapping its hands as the parents sing will reveal that the hand movement is not fluid and appears pretty much similar with each motion. The ultrasound scan is just shown for 15 seconds; lack of longer recording raises doubts about the authenticity of the claims. Fact of significance, the video progress bar that appears on the bottom right of the screen keeps moving back and forth as the baby’s arms close and open – meaning to say a short clip of the baby opening and closing its hands has been rewound many times and (falsely) shown as if the fetus is clapping to the tune of its parents. In a comment response on her video, the mother Jen Cardinal accepted this fact:
The experience is one I’ll never forget, the baby clapped three times, then the doctor rewound and scrubbed it while we sang. No mystery. It was amazing. Trolls won’t get me down!
There is this possibility that either the doctor or the parents took the clip where the unborn baby’s hands touched together in forward and reverse directions, and rewound, edited and matched it to the parents’ singing. The video does not show strong proof that the baby’s hand movement was spurred by its mother’s singing, it could have been involuntary as well. So considering all the aforementioned facts, the claims of the Ultrasound video that the unborn baby fetus is clapping its hands repeatedly to the parents singing are possibly hoaxes.
