An interesting video is viral online purporting to show a huge Bird flying around a beach carrying a Shark it just plucked out of the ocean. Some viewers wondered if the video is real or any creation of CGI. Although the video is real, what you see is the huge bird carrying a big fish, not shark.
About the Video of Bird Carrying ‘Shark’
The video became popular on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook because of the unusual sight in it. In the video you can also see the big fish in the bird’s talons struggles at one point of time high in the air. While some viewers said the video shows a huge Osprey bird holding a Shark in its talons, others said it is a Condor carrying a Great white shark.

As a matter of fact, the video shows a huge Osprey bird carrying a large Spanish mackerel fish in its talons. Ashley White from Erwin, Tennessee captured the video from her hotel balcony in Myrtle Beach.
Osprey, also called sea hawk, river hawk and fish hawk – is a diurnal, fish-eating bird. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings. Some viewers joked the massive animal looked more like a Pterodactyl. On the other hand, Spanish mackerel is a tribe of ray-finned saltwater bony fishes commonly known as seer fish.
