Czech woman gives birth to country’s first quintuplets
A 23-year-old woman has given birth to quintuplets in the Czech Republic, officials say, a first for the country.

Picture messages claim to show a Czech woman to have given birth to country’s first Quintuplets, i.e. five children born in a single pregnancy. Yes, it is a fact.
Alexandra Kinova is the 23 year old Czech woman who gave birth to four boys and a girl by Caesarean section on Sunday 2 June 2013. Kinova initially thought she was pregnant with twins, but in March the doctors said it was four – and then in April it upped to five.
The quintuplets were delivered by Caesarean section in 31 weeks of pregnancy, at Prague’s Institute for the Care of Mother and Child, and the doctors said the births took place without any complications. However, the mother and babies were both placed in an intensive care unit for nourishment. The boys’ names are likely to be Daniel, Michael, Alex and Martin, while the girl is called Terezka. The father of quintuplets, Antonin Kroscen said his babies are beautiful and looked quite alike.
As shown in the video news report above, the babies are Czech Republic’s first quintuplets, who were conceived naturally without IVF (In vitro fertilization), and the chances of having such a pregnancy are 48 million to one. What’s more, Big mama Kinova, who already has a 5 year old son does not have to take care of all the newborns on her own. The community has arranged two nannies to help out the family for the first three years, and the local government has even got them a bigger apartment.
