An unusual video in heavy circulation on social media purports to show that a Fish Flips Ball to Score Goal. In the viral video, the fish uses its head and also tail to flip the small ball out of tank into the miniature soccer net. Although some viewers were skeptical, what you see in the video is Real, but as explained below, there’s some missing information about it.
About the Video: Fish Flips Ball to Score Goal
The video shows a man dropping small balls onto the surface of the water. Then the fish in the small tank, flips the balls out to score goals into soccer net. In April 2018, the video appeared in a Russian Facebook group and garnered thousands of shares. Interestingly, there’s another similar video of fish flipping ball to score goal. Both the videos appeared on Jukin Media website jukinmedia.com in July 2017 and became popular later.
The videos actually show the Pet Fish(es) of an unidentified Brazilian man from Fortaleza. The ‘soccer talent’ of his little fishes was discovered casually when his son’s plastic ball fell into the aquarium, the man said. One of the fishes slapped the ball out of water with its tail. So, he put a miniature soccer net nearby and watched as the fish hit the ball out into a goal.
The Missing Information
The video about Fish Flips Ball to Score Goal gives an impression that the fish is an expert in doing same. However, as you can see in the second video, there are few missed attempts – few shots miss the target soccer net, and in some instances, the fish is not even able to throw the ball out of the water tank. And of course, there’s also the possibility of video editing the fish attempts to flip out the ball out of tank. Only the successful shots into goals may be presented. Nonetheless, the unusual feat of the pet fishes is amazing to watch.
