Analysis:
This is an interesting message doing rounds on internet lately. It talks about a woman named Veronica Seider who supposedly possessed a visual acuity (clearness of vision) 20 times better than average, that she could identify people at a distance of more than a mile (1.6km). It is unbelievable, but a fact!
Guinness World Record
Veronica Seider in fact holds the Guinness World Record for ‘smallest visible object,’ where it is mentioned that in October 1972, the University of Stuttgart, then West Germany, reported that their student Veronica Seider (b. 1951) possessed a visual acuity 20 times better than average. It is also mentioned that Veronica could identify people at a distance of more than a mile (1.6 km).
Veronica Seider’s unusual ability is considered a paranormal human mystery, as the German dentist apparently had telescopic vision. Veronica also claimed that she could see the individual red, green and blue dots that make up the picture on a color television set. Her eyesight is so powerful that she could write the equivalent of a 10-page letter on the back of a postage stamp — and read it back. In a demonstration before a group of Stuttgart University professors, Veronica Seider cut out a piece of paper the exact size of her thumb nail, and wrote on it — neatly set out — 20 verses of a poem; without any magnifying glass.
Veronica Seider had a gifted possession of great vision perhaps! Her story reminds us of the ‘Cat Boy‘ who can see in the Dark.
