Few pictures going viral on internet space claim to show that a woman found a bizarre ‘Alien’ creature in her yard, it is also said that the photograph of the outer space creature was taken shortly after a California “UFO sighting”. The claims that the pictures show an Alien creature are not facts.

About the Pictures

Few pictures showing a slim, half-developed creature surfaced online and went viral soon because of the speculations that it could be some alien form. The pictures appeared online in early November 2015 in a Facebook post of Gianna Peponis from California (deleted later) and also on a Reddit comment section thread. While on Reddit, it came with a title “Friend found this outside her house. Wtf indeed…,” Gianna Peponis on Facebook said she found the mysterious alien creature dead in her yard after she heard something scream at night.

The California “UFO Sighting”

It is a fact that some people on social media went crazy seeing a bright streak of light in skies on the night of 7 November 2015 and thought it a UFO (unidentified flying object). Shown in the video is a clipping of the mysterious sighting captured by couple of people on streets of California. But what many thought could be UFO, was simply an unarmed missile test conducted by US Navy Strategic Systems Programs. The unarmed missile was fired from a submarine off the coast of California, creating a light that coursed across the sky.

Not Alien

It is not clear whether the missile test in California misinterpreted as UFO and the finding of the creature by Gianna Peponis are actually related, but a close look at the picture of the ‘mysterious alien’ creature will reveal that it is simply the fetus of an animal. One Reddit commentor on the post pointed that the pictures closely resemble the remains of a Deer fetus partially chewed on by scavengers/predators (see the comparison view in fourth picture of Image Gallery). The creature might as well be a calf fetus (see last picture in Image Gallery).

So the picture stories saying a woman in California found alien creature in her yard are hoaxes; they only show a miscarried animal, perhaps even a stillbirth (fetal death).
