… This is Asma, a 14-yr old girl from Malvani, Malad, Mumbai..
She was kidnapped from her locality by 5 men living in the same locality in the month of May 2011.She was in captivity in the same area. A complaint was made to police but of no use. This 14 yr old girl was raped innumerable times by those 5 men. After 2-3 months they lost interest in her..
Now the question was “Who Will Spend Money For Her Food ???”
They started putting it on each other.

Result : She was given 1 vada-pav in 4-5 days.
After 5 months, she was found in garden.She was a bag of bones when she was found. When she was operated, doctors found pieces of paper,mud, soil,stones in her stomach. According to doctors, because of hunger she ate up the paper in which the vada-pav was given. Her situation was so bad, she ate up stones, dress, & soil….
The doctors were unable to explain her situation. After suffering for more than 5 months, she finally breathed her last on 14 Nov 2011 (Children’s Day).

You might have heard many stories wherein people are slaughtered & raped…But imagine a 14 yr old girl being raped innumerable times & she died every moment for more than 150 days…EVERY MOMENT……

We cant even imagine it………This is one of the most horrific incidents that has happend to any human. You won’t see this news on any television, may be because of political pressure it is being suppressed.
I would like to make two request with this:

1. The 5 men who are absconding now, should be caught & punished severely.
2. An APPEAL FOR A “STRICTER LAW AGAINST RAPE”

Analysis:

The victim girl whose name was not disclosed went missing on May 14th 2011. The girl stated that she was kidnapped by a young man aged between 23-25 while she was taking a stroll in a garden in Malvani, Malad, Mumbai and taken to a far away locality. She said that she was offered some food later that made her unconscious.

“When I came to, I found that I had been locked up in a shanty, in a place I was not familiar with. The kidnapper raped me repeatedly for the next three days. After this, he would frequent the room at intervals of four to five days, and force himself on me,” said the 14 year old girl.

She further added, “He used to give me food and water only when he came by for his visits. On one occasion, I went without any supplies for a week. When I asked him to let me out to visit the toilet for my daily ablutions, she unleashed his wrath upon me, and asked me to relieve myself inside the room itself.”

As a result of all these, the 14 year old Malvani girl’s health deteriorated badly, she lost all her strength, and was not even able to move.

“That’s when the beast realized that he could no longer violate her, and since he had no more use of her, he decided to abandon her in the garden from where she had been picked up,” said the girl’s mother.

The girl was discovered in the last week of October, when couple of women admitted her to Bhagwati Hospital, where she was treated for various malnutrition related disorders. She was semi-conscious and severely underweight, and medical reports said that she even had mud and paper in her stomach. However, the girl died while undergoing treatment on Monday night, 14 Nov 2011. Medical reports claim that it is difficult to find out if the girl was sexually assaulted or it was consensual.

Malwani residents along with the angry family members of the girl protested against police inaction outside the police station following the girl’s funeral on Monday. They abused the police and also stoned them, following which the police lathicharded them and a curfew was imposed under section 144 of the IPC.

The girl’s father expressed his anguish saying “The cops only questioned a few people, but carried out no thorough investigations to locate my daughter. How is it that they didn’t find a single clue in five months?”

The police, however had a different version. They maintained that they had taken timely action and arrested the accused, Umesh Kuria. Police said that they got to know about him from the mobile of the girl when she was investigated. The accused confessed his crime of kidnapping the 14 year old girl and said that she accompanied him on her own free will and was not raped. It was found that the girl lived in a shanty(shed) near Lotus lake of Malwani in those six months. Police claim the girl eloped with the accused, a minor himself. Since he was a minor, he was sent to the Dongri Children’s Home.

One of the senior police inspectors, Abdul Rauf Shaikh said that “Kuria told us that he was in a relationship with the girl and he had taken her to stay with him after taking her consent,” Shaikh added. “Since the girl is a minor, it is immaterial whether there was consent or not. She is not capable of making such decisions. Investigations about the nature of their relationship will take some time,” he said. He also stated “We suspect more people to be involved in the crime,”
