Canada PM Wife Tested Positive for COVID-19
On 11th March 2020, Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau developed flu-like symptoms after returning from a trip to London. She got tested for the new Coronavirus disease COVID-19. In a statement released on 12th March, the PM’s office said she tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms and taking all recommended precautions and treatment in isolation. The statement also said PM Justin Trudeau is in good health with no symptoms and will also be in isolation as a precautionary measure, following advice of doctors.

Not the Video of Canada PM Wife with COVID-19
Despite some facial similarities, the woman in the video is not Canada PM wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. She’s in fact a London woman Tara Jane Langston down with the new Coronavirus disease COVID-19. Initially, Tara Jane Langston was diagnosed with a Chest Infection. She was then diagnosed with Pneumonia and tested positive for COVID-19. Likewise, her condition became worse and she was rushed to Hillingdon Hospital in mid-March 2020. Struggling with COVID-19, the woman shot the video from hospital bed in ICU and shared it with her colleagues telling them – “please don’t take any chances”. The video went viral after her colleagues and others shared it on social media platforms. Someone took her video and attached the false claims saying she is Canada PM’s wife.

Note, Tara Jane was taking around eight Ibuprofen tablets a day, which she says medics think could have exacerbated her symptoms. The 39-year-old Gym-going mother in intensive care also says Coronavirus is like having glass in your lungs. She points ‘younger people are susceptible too’. She tells anyone thinking of taking any chances with new Coronavirus disease to take a look at her condition. So, she urges people to stay indoors and follow government advice as she begins to recover.
