World’s Longest Car The Limousine

The 100 feet (30.5 m) long Limousine called ‘The American Dream’ does in fact hold the Guinness World Record for Longest Car. It was designed by an excellent custom-car constructor Jay Ohrberg of Burbank, California (USA). The 26-wheeled super long Limousine had some indulgent features including a Jacuzzi, King-sized water bed, Helipad and a Swimming Pool with diving board. It was specially developed for Hollywood films and displays in the first place; not for regular road travel. Notably, Jay Ohrberg created some world-famous vehicles for movies and television.

The American Dream began its life in 1986 at Ohrberg’s Hollywood Cars shop. Later in 1990s it was certified as the world’s longest car by Guinness World Records. Adapted from two Cadillac cars, Ohrberg built the classy Limousine on the design of 1970s Cadillac Eldorado. The design allowed the Limo drive straight as a rigid vehicle and also change to bend in the middle. Originally, the 100 feet long car operated with two drivers, to help with reversing. But unfortunately, in later years ‘The American Dream’ car ended up abandoned in a New Jersey warehouse. In 2014, New York’s Autoseum Automotive Teaching Museum announced they will use the limousine to help teach students to fix, build and fabricate cars.
