Analysis:
A video shared heavily on social media sites, especially through Facebook, comes with claims to show that a girl got ‘high vibration’ in her body because of the usage of iPad and Android phones at young age. Showing it as a proof, people are warned they should be very careful with electronic devices in case of children. The story portrayed with the video is not a fact.

Although there are some radiation concerns from electronic devices like mobile phones and iPads, especially in case of young children, the incident described in the video is misinterpreted. As you can clearly hear in the video showing what appears like Arabic interaction, it was only when someone sounding like a doctor examining the girl Aryam lying on hospital bed asks her to show him, perhaps her condition, she starts trembling her body. The medical staff read out that the diagnosis of the girl child is clear, without any abnormalities. And when someone related to the girl mentions she is undergoing convulsions/seizures while shaking on the hospital bed, the doctor-like person says it is not convulsions, but could be Pseudoseizure and/or the result of simple hysterical behavior (affected by or deriving from wildly uncontrolled emotion). Moreover, the video appeared on YouTube in mid October 2015 in an Arabic YouTube channel of Fall Lahzan (translated), who has been publishing some such videos, relating them to religion and beliefs. So the stories accompanying the video claiming to show a girl got ‘high vibration’ in her body because of the usage of iPad and Android phones at young age are hoaxes.
Radiation Effects in Children
Children are more vulnerable to mobile radiation, according to an epidemiologist and cancer specialist at Orebro University Hospital in Sweden, Dr Lennart Hardell. That is because, they have thinner skulls to absorb radio waves more quickly, and smaller brains to make it more concentrated. Moreover, the cells throughout the children’s bodies divide much more quickly than in adults, making them more susceptible to damage. Research has also found that mobile radiation affects even the unborn babies because the radio waves can cross the placenta. So as mentioned in one of our articles, it is better to follow the safety guidelines for mobile phone radiation.
