Analysis:

Since at least 2015 various messages sent through SMS on mobile and also as emails claim to come from an old woman Mrs. Zara Williams who is willing to donate large sum of money for Charity. One version usually sent as SMS says the woman Zara Williams has amount to donate for poor people in India and asks to contact her through email for more details. Another, email version describes Zara Williams as a Cancer victim and says she wants to WILL/donate the sum of 5.5 million dollars to help less privileged people and widows. Do not believe in these charity messages, for they are simply Hoaxes and in fact Spam.

We have seen many people received these messages via SMS and email, through many numbers and email IDs. Notably, there are some similar format charity related offers/messages coming with other names. Nonetheless, there is no grain of truth in these donation offers. Charity offers of the order of 5.5 million dollars usually do not work that way through a simple SMS or random personal email. The charity donation offers coming from Mrs. Zara Williams are just Spam and fraud. In some cases, the recipients might be asked to share their personal & bank details that can be misused and the unaware people can be tricked into sending money to get the charity amount that does not exist. So ignore, delete or report these spam messages disguised as charity offers, and do not share any of your details.
