A message in circulation on the social media platform appeals user of Sharing Facebook Post about Cancer Girl to Save Her Life. Allegedly, the young girl on hospital bed is suffering from Cancer and wants money for Surgery. Liking, commenting and sharing the Facebook post will help the girl earn dollars, the message reads, requesting Facebook users to let it go viral and save the girl’s life. However, neither the girl in the Facebook post is suffering from Cancer, nor Facebook shall donate her money for sharing the message.

Sharing Facebook Post about Cancer Girl: Origin

In March 2018 Facebook page Being Salman (not the official page of Indian actor Salman Khan) shared the story in question starting with the message, Being Human Denotes:

Because of the heart-touching message about ‘Cancer’, the Facebook post was in fact shared heavily and it actually went viral. Nonetheless, the girl you see in the picture, a Pakistani model and actress, is not any Cancer patient.

The Actual Incident

Back in January 2015, the Pakistani model and small screen actress, Moomal Khalid met with a terrible accident that killed her fiancé Shahzeb Magsi, who was driving the car. The actress suffered severe injuries putting her in intensive care. However, she recovered well, got back to work and even married in December 2017. In picture below, you can see Moomal Khalid with her husband Usman Patel, a male model of Pakistan. More importantly, she did not have any kind of Cancer, as told in the message in Facebook post.

In general, like suggested in the message, Facebook does not donate money to anyone for simply liking, commenting or sharing a post on the social media platform. It is an old type of hoax message using sensitive pictures and stories, often meant for marketing purposes. On the picture of the girl on hospital bed, you can see the URL mark of official Facebook page of the couple Moomal Khalid and Usman Patel.
