The first part of the video resembling lava flow or dramatic earthflow is in fact caused by Melting Permafrost that happened in Eastern Tibet in early September 2017. The thawing permafrost, a natural phenomenon brought downhill the flow of mud and grass from higher altitudes of the Tibetan Plateau in China. Local experts said it could be because the weather in Tibetan Plateau had turned warmer with heavy increase in rainfall.
