Pawan Kalyan Ineligible to Elections Because of His Three Marriages?
The picture message doing rounds on WhatsApp appears as a breaking news message from Telugu news channel NTV. The text in Telugu says the popular Tollywood actor and founder of political party Jana Sena, Pawan Kalyan is shocked after coming to know the Central Election Commission declared him ineligible for contesting elections. It says Pawan Kalyan married three times and it is against the rules of Indian Constitution. However, there are no such credible reports relating to Election Commission of India (ECI).
Looks like, the allegations came up amid political battle in late 2019, when Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said it after Pawan Kalyan questioned introduction of English as a medium of instruction in the state government schools.
“Sir, actor Pawan Kalyan garu. You have three wives, four-five children. What is the medium of instruction of the schools they are studying in,” he asked.
Pawan Kalyan later replied consequences drove him to get married thrice and he did it legally. He also suggested not to make personal remarks in a political discussion. As a matter of fact, Pawan Kalyan has married three times to Nandini (1997-2007), Renu Desai (2009-2012) and to Anna Lezhneva since 2013. He has however taken divorce from Nandini and Renu Desai.
Similar political allegations on his three marriages came up in late 2018 also. At the time, the actor, philanthropist and politician said he has a simple lifestyle and thinks of others all the time. So, he said it is difficult to live with him.
About the Image in Circulation
So, the image doing rounds on social media is not any real NTV news report. It is a fabrication, perhaps to get some mileage to promote the NTR Mahanayakudu movie that released in February 2019.

Election Commission of India did not say Pawan Kalyan cannot contest elections because of his three marriages. The messages claiming so are just hoaxes.
